Mike serves as President of Alan Baird Industries.
He has been with the company serving in leadership roles since its founding 30 years ago.
In his current role, Mike drives company-wide business strategy, administration, and plays an oversight role on manufacturing operations and technology issues. Despite his considerable responsibilities, he always finds time to work closely with internal design teams and to engage personally in problem solving and solution design with select customers.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College in Schenectady, NY. Prior to being named President, he spent several years leading Alan Baird’s engineering operations function.
When not working, Mike cherishes time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys boating and fishing on Lake George in the Adirondack region.
David is a principal of Alan Baird Industries with over 35 years of experience in the organization. In his current role as Vice President, David oversees a broad range of day-to-day departmental functions including financial management, Human Resources, and overall business operations.
Over the years, David has held a myriad of roles in the company starting as a wire drawing operator and advancing into other functional areas before becoming part of the management team. He is also SHRM-CP certified.
A South Florida transplant, David spends most of his spare time with family, enjoying a broad range of outdoor activities including golf, kayaking, off-road ATV quad riding, and is a horology enthusiast.
Strategic Business Analyst
Jim is a Strategic Business Analyst for Alan Baird Industries with over 17 years of experience with the company.
In this role he acts as an internal consultant responsible for processes analysis and for aiding in the optimization of operational efficiencies. Prior to joining Alan Baird, Jim held roles as Project Manager, Manufacturing Business Center Manager, Quality Manager and R&D Process Engineer for a leading ceramic injection molding manufacturer. He also has extensive experience as a Materials Process Engineer in refractory metals and cemented carbide production.
Jim was born in Linwood, NJ and holds a BS, MS and PhD in Ceramic Engineering with a minor in Statistics from Rutgers University and a Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Along the way, he received training and experience as an SPC Trainer, process Analysis and Review, Lean, Kaizen, Waste Reduction (55) and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt. He prides himself on being a problem solver and teacher whenever possible.
Jim is married with two grown children. When he is not working, he loves to exercise and travel.
Bill is responsible for a wide range of critical activities at Alan Baird Industries including coordinating and scheduling of all R&D activities, account management, contract reviews, marketing, and special projects. A three-year veteran of the firm, Bill previously served as the general manager overseeing all aspects of manufacturing production.
He attended Arizona State University majoring in Marketing Management and Business Administration. He serves his community as a Deputy OEM Director in addition to being a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Leader. Bill has earned multiple certifications in consultative selling, strategic marketing, and situational leadership.
He is married with four adult children and when not working, Bill enjoys golf and traveling.
James Harding Jr.
A nineteen-year veteran of Alan Baird Industries, James helps deliver the company’s motto “engineering first” as the Chief Engineer. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of companywide engineering activities. James previously held numerous other roles within the firm including Manufacturing Engineer and Product Engineer.
Born in Bloomingdale, NJ and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University in Chester, PA. He is married with two teen-aged children. James enjoys family vacations, golf, music, and watching his kids play football and lacrosse.
Since joining Alan Baird Industries in 2019, Shaiwal manages critical companywide manufacturing operations, including forecasting and demand management activities. He is responsible for ensuring the highest quality output of the companys products and monitoring daily manufacturing operations.
Shaiwal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering from City University of New York (City College) and a Master’s degree in Operations Management from Polytechnic University (NYU) in Brooklyn, NY.
Shaiwal is married with two teen aged children and loves to play tennis and cricket in his leisure time.
Mike joined the organization in 2015 as a Product Engineer. He is responsible for product development for new and existing Alan Baird customers from initial concept design through full scale production.
Born in Mahwah, NJ he is a graduate of the College of William & Mary with a degree in physics. He formerly worked as a project manager for a leading engineering company. Mike is passionate about engineering solutions for the medical device industry.
When not working, Mike enjoys woodworking and cycling. He is married with three young children.
Bob joined Alan Baird Industries in 2016 having previously worked Quality Management roles for medical device manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies. Previous roles at Alan Baird included time spent in general management, supply chain management, and purchasing.
In his current role as Quality Director, Bob oversees quality inspectors, quality engineers, and others to ensure only the highest quality parts ship out the door. He oversees critical change control procedures, documentation, non-conformance, problem resolution, and risk management.
Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and graduated from various USAF Professional Military Education schools.
Customer Relations Manager
An eleven-year veteran of Alan Baird Industries, Yajaira manages the Customer Relations department. In this capacity she maintains relationships with key customers, oversees the communication between customers and team. She also handles customer inquiries, order status, production delivery updates, and purchase order status questions. Prior to her current role she worked as a HR Coordinator and Executive Assistant for the company.
Yajaira is a graduate of Dover Business College with a degree in Computer Operations.
Human Resources Manager
A relative newcomer at Alan Baird Industries, Craig joined the company in 2020 as Human Resources Manager. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of recruitment, new hire onboarding, day-to-day employee relations as well as strategic HR planning. Prior to his role at Baird, he held various human resource generalist positions dating back to 2007.
Craig was born in Nutley, NJ. When not working, he enjoys volunteering at Eleventh Hour Rescue, a no-kill animal rescue that saves dogs and cats on Death Row from high-kill shelters.
Director Information Technology
Darren joined Alan Baird Industries in 2007 and is Director of Information Technology. In his role, Darren is responsible for all system and connectivity related issues companywide. Prior to his current leadership role, he held an IT Manager role for 13 years.
Darren was born in Glen Rock, NJ and is a graduate of William Paterson University. He currently lives in the West Milford area.
Supply Chain Manager
Vaughn joined Alan Baird in 2017 as Supply Chain Manager with a focus on purchasing, strategic sourcing, and inventory planning and control initiatives.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from William Paterson University and a Master’s of Science degree in Supply Chain Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Vaughn is a member of the American Society of Supply Chain Managers (ASCM) and is an APICS certified supply chain professional with critical supply chain knowledge to help Alan Baird Industries remain competitive in today’s economy.
In his leisure time, Vaughn enjoys running and playing basketball.
