Jim Lake
Strategic Business Analyst
Jim is a Strategic Business Analyst for Alan Baird Industries with over 17 years of experience with the company.
In this role he acts as an internal consultant responsible for processes analysis and for aiding in the optimization of operational efficiencies. Prior to joining Alan Baird, Jim held roles as Project Manager, Manufacturing Business Center Manager, Quality Manager and R&D Process Engineer for a leading ceramic injection molding manufacturer. He also has extensive experience as a Materials Process Engineer in refractory metals and cemented carbide production.
Jim was born in Linwood, NJ and holds a BS, MS and PhD in Ceramic Engineering with a minor in Statistics from Rutgers University and a Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Along the way, he received training and experience as an SPC Trainer, process Analysis and Review, Lean, Kaizen, Waste Reduction (55) and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt. He prides himself on being a problem solver and teacher whenever possible.
Jim is married with two grown children. When he is not working, he loves to exercise and travel.
